Dragons Abroad

5 students from Middleburg Academy are traveling to Guatemala this week. Kian Manafi, Tori Kahler, Trilby Brown, Alex Hess, and Samantha Steinman are participating in a service trip, which has been organized by their Spanish teacher, Mrs. Myers. Students are partnering with Constru Casa to build a house for the indigenous Maya of Guatemala.

Constru Casa is an organization that works with populations that don't meet the minimum financial requirements of organizations like Habitat for Humanity (families that make an average of $4 a day). This is the third international trip that Middleburg Academy students embark on since the creation of the International Program. You can follow their adventures on Mrs. Myers' Dragons Abroad blog: https://dragonsabroad.wordpress.com and our Instagram.
