Boys Varsity Basketball Team Wins Flint Hill Invitational

Last weekend, the Middleburg Academy Boys Basketball Team participated in the Tenth Annual Flint Hill Classic. On Friday, December 4, they faced Liberty Christian in the first round action and won by a score of 65-44. The win put Middleburg Academy in the championship game for the second straight year. The championship game was played on Saturday, December 6 and matched the Dragons up against the Virginia Academy Patriots. This was the second time these Loudoun based squads clashed this week. Both resulted in victories claimed by the Dragons.   The first victory, a regular season match-up came by way of 66 – 62 overtime thriller. The second round victory, where both squads met in the title game at Flint Hill was secured in the final seconds by the score 57 – 52. Middleburg Academy would also like to congratulate the following players.
