Catherine Forrester / Dean of College Counseling and History Teacher

Catherine Forrester's favorite part of high school was the college search process and visiting university campuses. As an undergraduate student at the University of Central Florida, she became an admissions tour guide and eventually Lead Tour Guide, in charge of training the others. It was her love for university admissions that led her to Vanderbilt University where she earned her Masters in Education.

Catherine spent five years doing undergraduate admissions for Fairleigh Dickinson University (NJ), and, more recently, Bentley University (MA). While living in Boston, she earned a certificate in business from Harvard Business School.

In addition to serving as Middleburg Academy's Dean of College Counseling, Catherine is also a teacher in the History Department. Her senior level class, History and Politics of the Middle East, is incredibly popular every spring.

Outside of work, Catherine holds a national leadership role for her sorority and enjoys volunteering. She loves traveling and experiencing new cultures, having been to over thirty countries - most recently the UK, France, and Italy with a group of Middleburg students! She is always up for an adventure and learning something new!
