Even the most eager of students cannot outpace Mrs. Kuzminski. Halfway towards completing a goal of running a marathon in every state, this energetic and animated educator is in the habit of going the distance for her students, too. She is inspired by her learners, but also by her colleagues, saying “every adult in the building is completely and unselfishly dedicated to the students here.” Though known to have high expectations for achievement and behavior (a trait for which students later thank her), she is not above hosting “The Olympics” – which involve reviewing material while performing games. “Nothing focuses the mind like trying to hula hoop and recite vocabulary!” Above all else, Marjorie Kuzminski is interested in “helping students make connections between what we learn and the ‘real’ world; how various religious traditions shape current events and motivate people of all walks of life.”
A native of Annandale, Virginia, Margie Kuzminski lives with her husband and two daughters.
