Many of our families live in the greater Middleburg area, but an even larger percentage hail from the twenty to thirty mile surrounding radius. A number of these students travel to and from the campus daily on an extensive bus transportation service arranged by the school, through Virginia Regional Transit (VRT). Each year, in consultation with parents, Middleburg Academy evaluates the transportation needs of its current student body and contracts VRT to provide bus routes accordingly.
Bus tickets ($5 each way) are sold through the Registrar’s Office. Families using this service appreciate the fact that it is based on a “per use” charge, versus a flat yearly fee. A later Activities Bus Service is also provided, according to needs, for students participating in after school sports and activities.
In recent years, typical bus routes have transported students to and from the following areas, though the routes can change from year to year:
- Dranesville/Ashburn
- Leesburg/Hamilton/Purcellville
- Centreville/Haymarket/Warrenton
- Chantilly/South Riding
- Winchester/Waterloo

Cars and Carpooling
Carpooling is another popular option for Middleburg Academy families. For students who have their own transportation, there is a student parking lot adjacent to the main Academic Building.
